How Can the Law of Attraction Work For You?
“Witches call it spells.
Christians call it prayer.
Spiritualists call it manifestation.
Atheists call it the placebo effect.
Scientists call it quantum physics.
Everyone is arguing its name.
Yet No one is denying its existence.”
Quotes like that have been circulating from thought leaders, on memes, and all over social media. We are more regularly embracing that manifestation, i.e., our dreams becoming real, is in fact real. It also brings up an interesting point that there is some credence to the law of attraction.
The law of attraction is basically the philosophical premise that when you have positive thoughts, you have a positive life, and negative thoughts can attract negative outcomes. This basic premise was popularized by The Secret by Rhonda Byrne.
Whether you are a die-hard pragmatist or hardcore believer, manifestation cannot be denied. On some level, we can all agree the law of attraction works. When you have an optimistic attitude, things tend to go more smoothly, and when you focus on one goal, things can start to align to that goal. Whether it’s using a vision board to help you visualize your dream life or using affirmations to shift your mindset, these do work.
Whether these serve as subconscious reminders or ways to energetically attract the life you want to live we can all collectively agree they do produce results. There is a certain blend of science and spirituality in the art of manifestation.
This post will explore both sides of this argument because regardless of where you fall on the issue, one thing is clear: people are manifesting. Whether it’s Jim Carrey who wrote himself a check for ten million dollars and kept it in his wallet until it came through or Louise Hay who coined using affirmations to heal disease there is a method to this manifestation madness.
Is it a singularity of focus?
Or is it a better management of your energy?
Or maybe it’s just a clearer awareness of what you want so you can just focus on making it happen?
Affirmations: Mind Hacks?
There is a certain power to affirmations. One study found that affirmations increased activity in key regions of the brain’s self-processing (in the medial prefrontal cortex + posterior cingulate cortex) and valuation (in the ventral striatum + ventral medial prefrontal cortex) systems when reflecting on future-oriented core values (compared with everyday activities). These activations in the brain helped increase movement and activity.
Additionally, affirmations can remind people of psychosocial resources that can help people during threats and increase their feelings of positive self-worth to address a perceived threat. The law of attraction basics, i.e., visualization, vision boards, and affirmations all help us connect to our subconscious minds which can help them do more work toward what we want to manifest.
The Quantum Realm and God Particles
The discovery of the Higgs boson, a.k.a. “God particle”, and other revelations from quantum physics have helped us find a deeper connection between the law of attraction and more traditional science.
Theoretical physicist Max Planck said, “All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force which brings the particle of an atom to vibration and holds this most minute solar system of the atom together. We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent mind. This mind is the matrix of all matter.”
Additionally, the concept of quantum entanglement has often been credited as proof to the law of attraction. With quantum entanglement, it’s been observed that what impacts one thing can also be found to cause an effect on another thing that it is “entangled” to.
This points to the potential that you may have a thought or visualization and the connection of their energy can impact how it “manifests.” Esther Hicks a.k.a. Abraham Hicks points to the idea that the law of attraction works when we are in higher vibration and focused on the clarity of what we want.
Focusing on our vibrational levels can be a key to manifestation. Expanding and heightening your vibrational level can increase the frequency and strength of your manifestations. Often a lack of mental clarity, old points of conflict, or past pain can cloud our focus and attract something similar but not quite right.
One scientist committed to the study of our vibrational levels was David R. Hawkins. He did extensive research and ascribed vibrational levels to certain key emotions. He created an entire map of human consciousness and published it in The Map of Consciousness Explained: A Proven Energy Scale to Actualize Your Ultimate Potential.
According to both Hawkins and Hicks, the higher our vibrational level the more quickly and accurately that we attract our manifestations. One way to boost your vibrational level is with Quantum Upgrade. Quantum Upgrade lets you tune into the pure and powerful quantum energy.
This influx of pure energy can help raise your vibrational level. There is also the potential to set up a quantum energy field with a fixed vibrational level including ones more likely to bring about manifestations. The more you find a uniformity of focus and find a way to keep your vibration high you just might experience the magic of manifestation.
Final Thoughts
So much of what we deem spiritual or woo-woo is what we cannot see but it is finding more footing in where we are heading with scientific study. There is an intersection between standard traditional science like biology and physics and spirituality.
What’s been believed in esoterica, hearsay, and “new age” thinking is now finding its footing in our collective understanding. What we want, what we visualize, and what we say can find their way into our lives. More study is leading to a greater understanding of how to hack our unconscious, and be vigilant about our vibrational levels, and here’s hoping these scientific findings and ties to tradition can help you see for yourself the power of manifestation.
