Mindset Matters: 5 Positive Energy Best Practices to Try

We constantly search for external sources to improve our well-being, forgetting the incredible internal resources of our mindset. The connection between a positive attitude and positive outcomes has been well documented.

People with a positive mindset tend to have positive energy and, as a result, attract positive outcomes in their endeavors. Such a mindset allows you to see the brighter side of life and find solutions to challenges.

Below, we list five positive energy practices for better, wholesome living.

Focus on The Present

Often, we let negative thoughts from the past interfere with our current decision-making process. It’s also common to worry about the future, which affects the present.

Avoid being stressed about the past and the future; instead, focus on what you have complete control over in the present. It’s worth noting that nothing happens in the future or the past; everything occurs in the present.

Any moment, however insignificant, can have a positive outlook if you don’t allow worry to get in the way. To be free of the past, accept that we all make mistakes, and forgive yourself.

You can focus on the present moment by practicing quantum meditation regularly. It will keep you calm and ready to tackle the present challenges and can even help with energy healing.  Make a point to meditate at least twice a day, in the morning and evening.

Practice Gratitude

Take time to observe all the good things or blessings in your life. It’s an enriching process that will give you a more positive mindset.

You can go a step extra by saying and also writing down five or more items you are thankful for each day—the more specific the points, the better. For instance, you might feel grateful for your family, food, and comfortable clothing today. You can be thankful for a supportive and loyal friend or inspirational teacher the following day. The aim is to think positively and attract positive energy.

Notice and Reframe Your Negative Thoughts

It is easy to fall victim to your negative self-sabotaging thoughts. Take a day to monitor your self-talk, and you will be shocked by how many are pessimistic.

The first step is to avoid criticizing yourself for having such thoughts. Take note of the self-limiting thought and tell yourself, “Cancel that,” to end the pattern. Afterward, you can reframe the idea by making it positive.

For example, spend extra time listening to your favorite music or podcast instead of being angered by heavy traffic. In another instance where you bake a cake, and it doesn’t turn out as you hoped, dont say, “I’m bad at baking.” instead, think, “I keep getting better at baking with every practice.

Use Affirmations

Words are powerful. It may sound cliché, but they are powerful, and you can use them to attain positive energy.

Affirmations are short and precise statements you can repeat frequently, or you could write notecards and place them in areas where you will see them regularly. Ideally, affirmations should be brief and in the present tense. Making them brief ensures you easily repeat and remember.

Start with affirmations like “I am alive and healthy” and “I am blessed.” Then, as you get accustomed to the habit, you can try more advanced ones.

At first, it may seem like the words aren’t impactful, but once you repeat them consistently, you will be amazed by how effectively they create positive energy.

Interact With Positive People

Studies show that you are likelier to behave like the people you constantly hang around. So, if you constantly hang around people with negative energy and toxic vibrations, they will rub on you, leading to negative self-limiting thoughts and behaviors.

However, if you interact with people who are always positive, you will have self-confidence and avoid negativity.

Assess your current circle of friends. Are they supportive and appreciative, or do they put you down and mock you? We recommend seeking people who uplift you and are confident and happy. The more you hear encouragement and positive outlooks from people close to you, the more chances you have of positive thinking.

Conclusion

A positive mindset compounds slowly over time, so even when you can practice all the above strategies, ensure you try out one or more. Think of every tiny step you take towards altering your mindset, like a drop of gasoline in your tank. Even when it’s not full, it can get you to your destination.
