The Intersection of Quantum Energy and Holistic Healing Practices

Exploring the World of Our Body’s Energy

Our understanding of medicine is expanding to include a greater holistic understanding of how issues can creep up in mental, emotional, physical, or energetic aspects of our lives and escalate into larger health problems. Energy healing is becoming more common because it incorporates a greater awareness of these various aspects of life and their interconnectedness.. Where exactly does energy fit in this newfound view of health?

Society is developing an understanding of health  that encompasses the interconnections of your diet, hygiene, mental state, emotions, genetics and the stress of daily life and how they all factor into health. For example, everyone wants to avoid cancer and heart disease however there are issues like inflammation, diet, habits, DNA damage, genetic predispositions, unprocessed trauma and lifestyle that can have a cascading effect increasing your chances of developing diseases.

Where does quantum energy fit into the mix? We are expanding our understanding of physics, energy, and exploring how multiple fields of study intersect. As we bridge the gap between eastern and western medicine, find the connections of physics, chemistry, and biology, then blend mental, emotional health and even spirituality we are developing a clearer picture. These intersections can be powerful in understanding human life and provide more in depth healing.

We are also becoming more collectively aware of our “energy.” Certain people, places, and things can drain your energy. Different modalities of energy healing like reiki, pranic healing, joyrei all address the flow of energy throughout the body. This post will explore the various types of energy in the body and how quantum energy can engage with the body to heal.

Energy in the Body

At the core living things are made of energy. The passage of chemicals between cells has electrical charges. The heart and nervous system are governed by an electrical current. Our nerve cells (neurons) send electrical impulses throughout the body.

All of this energy forms an electrical circuit that keeps us alive from our heart pumping to our brain telling our limbs to move. Every electrical current has a corresponding electrical field that surrounds it in the same way electrons surround nuclei at the atomic level.

This energetic field extends beyond the body and can engage with other energies.  Some describe it as the aura, others the soul, or our consciousness. Because it is outside the visual spectrum we cannot confirm its shape or behavior visually.

Eastern traditions have a greater understanding of this energy field. For example, in Hindu traditions they view the bioenergetic field as having multiple sheaths or “bodies.” They include:

  • Pranamaya Kosha:The energy sheath that governs the flow of prana (life force). Prana is the energy that gives us life and is often channeled through the breath which is why yoga traditions have so many breathing styles.
  • Anandamaya Kosha: The bliss sheath associated with consciousness, intuition and most related to how we view a soul and a connection with the Divine.
  • Annamaya Kosha: The physical body, or “food sheath.”
  • Manomaya Kosha: The mental sheath, encompassing thoughts, emotions, and the mind.
  • Vijnanamaya Kosha: The intellectual or wisdom sheath, representing higher consciousness, intuition, the intellect and the five senses.

What’s interesting when engaging with these ancient Eastern traditions is there is room to integrate it into what we know about the body and medicine. For example, these different sheaths mirror how we view the “three brains” as human beings:

  • The Lizard Brain which is governed by the gut and brain stem. It manages basic survival functions like the fight or flight response, and involuntary functions like breathing and primal instincts. It’s meant to keep us alive and protect us from danger.
  • The Mammalian Brain is the next evolution. It governs emotions, memories, habits and attachments. It’s the evolutionary leap from certain lower animals to animals capable of love and connection. The concept of Monkey Mind is when this brain is getting the best of us and our mind and heart are not in coherence.
  • The Human Brain has advanced to have a neocortex. It’s responsible for higher functions like abstract thinking, imagination, language, consciousness and reasoning. This is the latest evolution and it is still developing further as we develop new levels of thought and capacity for processing information.

Our physical body (food sheath) has its own autopilot reactions. Our thoughts and emotions (mental sheath) can impact our body but also our fundamental energy (energy and bliss sheath). Energy healing offers healing energy which can access these various sheaths and address any misalignments with any of these brains.

After all, our diet, behaviors, relationships, recurring thoughts, or unprocessed emotions can all potentially throw off the flow of our energy. Before we dive deeper into healing energy let’s quickly look at energy in the body.

Types of Energy in the Human Body

Another Eastern concept that is helpful when looking at holistic wellness across the various aspects of life is the way they view different types of energy. Hindu traditions see three forms of energy: prana, shakti, and kundalini. Different yogic traditions, stretches, and breathing techniques engage with these different energies.

  • Prana is the fundamental energy of life. It governs physical, mental, and spiritual health.
  • Shakti refers to the dynamic energy responsible for creation, maintenance, and destruction of the universe. It governs consciousness, joy, will, knowledge, and action.
  • Kundalini is a dormant energy at the base of the spine responsible for transformation and self-development.

These different energies flow through the seven primary chakras and energy centers of the body. Similarly, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), rather than considering energy moving through chakras, flows through meridians. These meridians are connected to different organ systems and flow throughout the entire body.  The function of these organ systems is tied to certain emotions so certain emotional imbalances can throw off the function of certain organ systems.

TCM has their own three-pronged view of energy called the three treasures: qi (chi), shen, and jing.

  • Qi (Chi) is the energy that flows through the body and life’s essence and nourishes the other forms of energy.
  • Shen is spiritual energy and the energy that connects to something higher.
  • Jing  is the energy we’re born with. It encompasses our genetics (prenatal jing) and postnatal jing influenced by our habits and activities.

We have the energy driving our body i.e.like the calories we consume and work out through physical activity. We have the energy that keeps our heart beating and body moving. We have the energy that makes up our consciousness and that we can sometimes feel when we are inspired. We also have the energy that’s keeping our atoms together.

What makes these ancient traditions so timeless is they encompass the human being as a whole: the body, spirit, mind, and emotional self. They factor in diet, activity, human interaction and our DNA.

Now that you understand more about the types of energy let’s look at how these cultures view energy healing and how they intersect with quantum energy.

Energy Healing & Quantum Energy

Energy healing practices like reiki, jyorei, and pranic healing all involve a practitioner channeling a form of subtle or clean energy and transmitting it through your energy field and into your body. The origin of reiki is connected to the flow of qi and it literally means “universal life energy.” Pranic healing governs the flow of prana. These methods do not involve touching because they address energy misalignments, depletions, and leaks in your energetic field.

Studies have even validated the efficacy of these forms of healing. One study found this healing energy impacts brainwaves increasing alpha brain waves altering the frequency of energy. Another study confirmed distant energy healings have strong mental and emotional impacts that were more significant than the placebo group.

Quantum energy is similar to the energies used in these types of healing. It’s essentially pure positive energy because it has a surplus of electrons and is undirected energy.

Many of the harmful toxins, negative environmental factors like pollution, and even old cells have free radicals. These energy drains in our lives try to steal electrons from our living cells.

Longevity expert and the father of biohacking Dave Asprey has been a huge purveyor of Quantum Upgrade from the start. Not only does it protect against tech radiation like EMFs and 5G it’s also able to boost physical performance and mood. Quantum Upgrade can also benefit energy healers by providing them with a healing space attuned to positive energy and boosting their own energy levels.

Quantum energy is helping bridge the gap between the energy we can observe and what we cannot see. It’s all energy but throughout time the types of energy at work engage with humans in complex and nuanced ways.  The fact that energy healing spans multiple cultures, time periods, and modalities only shows that over time it will only grow in popularity.

Final Thoughts

A holistic understanding encompasses the interconnected nature of the whole person—body, mind, spirit, and emotions in the pursuit of optimal health and regular flow. Rather than focusing solely on treating specific symptoms or diseases, holistic healing strategies try to achieve balance in all aspects of a person’s life. Energy healing addresses unseen issues in our energy field and some of the healing  manifests in the physical body.

Quantu Upgrade can give you access to some of the energy used in these healing practices. Positive undirected energy can protect you from day-to-day drains. What are your experiences with energy healing? How do you sense energy and use it for healing? Where do you think energy fits into health?
